Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin founded Dauphin in 1969 in a small town in Bavaria, Germany, as a specialist in ergonomic office seating. Inspired by research forecasting a sharp rise in the use of computers in the workplace, Dauphin set out to build a company that offered high quality ergonomic seating and cutting-edge technology at reasonable prices. In 1979, Dauphin began distributing ergonomic seating in the United States through the importer Charvoz and in 1993 acquired 100 percent ownership of the North American seating operations.
The Anzea Contract Textile collection is a spirited mix of materials from luxurious natural fibers to recycled polyester yarns. Woven fabrics that are bleach cleanable and solution dyed along with vinyl upholstery and green faux leathers in nylon matrix and polyurethane form a cohesive high-performance product offering. In addition to providing the contract upholstery market with unparalleled product and service, Anzea curates a refreshing and unique collection of multi-use textiles including drapery, wall- coverings and light duty upholstery fabrics.
Anzea was founded in 1990 by creative director Mitzi Mills and business partner Bruce Doeren. Since the company’s inception Anzea has focused on contract upholstery textiles offering the marketplace the option of leading edge colors, bold designs and high performance. These designs are reflective of Mitzi’s graphic design background and her love of photography and travel.
Anzea completes the textile offering by adding renowned names from the interior design and fashion industries. Currently Ruth Adler Schnee, Jhane Barnes and Jennifer Eno collaborate with the creative team to develop beautiful high-performance upholstery textiles. Design, marketing, and warehouse facilities are located in the Fort Worth, Texas, arts district.
Cabot Wrenn, founded in 1981, is a manufacturer of fine business furniture including: lounge seating, side chairs, executive chairs, traditional seating, and tables. The mission was to make the very best product possible in the areas of materials, construction, tailoring and seating comfort. Cabot Wrenn combines timeless design with a full range of ergonomic features such as comfort, style, and durability.
Along with a Graded-In Fabric Program, there has also been an emphasis placed on leather. Cabot Wrenn has a broad selection of leather available and has a separate facility that works directly with customer’s own material.
With a small company attitude, Cabot Wrenn is flexible enough to handle small projects, but has the resources available and is well capable of handling extremely large projects as well.
